Get to know claire

An only child in a family of adults, Claire has always lived in worlds of her own. Now she’s found a way to share them with people, the challenge will be trying to stop her.

If you asked her then what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would have told you ‘an author’. If you ask her now, you’ll get the same answer.

Claire lives on the outskirts of Sydney with her boyfriend of 12 years (let’s not rush the ring) and a deranged (but well-meaning) rescue Kelpie.

You could say Claire is a little quirky - she enjoys exploring the underside of the human psyche. That’s where the monsters play.

If you’re looking for wholesome tales about flawless protagonists overcoming minor inconveniences, her writing probably isn’t for you.
